Surface wind: Light and variable. South westerly flow.
Synopsis: High pressure centred Thames Estuary, low pressure west of Iceland.
Significant weather: Any mist and fog clearing to give a day with convection, cu to 3000 feet.
Temperature 15 C
Dewpoint: 7 C
Thermal strength. 1.5 knots
Cross country: Up to 150 km - best area Hants and Dorset.
Outlook: Thursday now looking similar to today, perhaps slightly better. Friday damp start clearing to overdeveloping cu, breezy. Saturday currently looks promising - transient ridge.
Up to is the distance I would expect a good current pilot to achieve in a very good glider e.g. JS1.
